The fruit of a long-term cooperation between Zachęta, the Warsaw Electronic Festival and the Art & Technology Foundation is the WEF.LIVE LAB/CHOPing project which led, in 2009, to creating an experimental recording studio as well as to organizing a series of concerts, workshops and lectures on the topic of experimental electronic music and new media in the visual arts. We have welcomed on our stage such artists as: Toshinori Kondo, ISAN, Zen Lu, Tetsuya Hori, kr39. Thanks to WEF.LIVE LAB’s activity, in the near future we will be able to invite our audience to numerous concerts, improvised art gatherings and to participate in our newest venture — the CHOPing project. CHOPing is not only a competition intended for young artists who work with new media art or electronic music that is inspired by Chopin and his compositions, but also a series of concerts and events.
